Fensàkē Se

Fensàkē Se (/fen/ /səc/ [ship] [quiet; shy]) is a subtropical Town located in Fÿrvharn Hold, Íhglopníhp Provence, within the Tauranian United Provinces.

The name Fensàkē Se is derived from the Tauric language, as Fensàkē Se was founded by Trêbmthe Vaughan, who was culturaly Tauric.

Climate

Fensàkē Se has a yearly average temperature of 19°C (66°F), with its average temperature during the summer being a warm 30°C (86°F) and its average temperature during the winter being a cold 8°C (46°F). Fensàkē Se receives an average of 247 cm/y (97 in/y) of precipitation, most of which comes in the form of rain during the summer. Fensàkē Se covers an area of nearly 5 km² (2 mi²), and an average elevation of 618 m (2027 ft) above sea level.

Overview

Fensàkē Se was founded durring the early 12th century in spring of the year 1048, by Trêbmthe Vaughan. The establishment of Fensàkē Se suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Fensàkē Se was built using the conventions of Tauric durring the early 12th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Fensàkē Se is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature timber framed wooden shiethed or brick construction, which gives form to a very formalized, rational, expence effishent arcatectural style based on strictly symmetrical designs which universaly feature pitched roofs, shutters, and the occasional column or pilaster for a decorative touch.

Fensàkē Se is is constructed arround a series of premissive carved bedrock mainstreets which form overlapping circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to eachother at varrious points. The town is protected by a humble stone fence which is tall enough to provide adiquite cover for defenders to fire from, but no more than that. The town's peasent-grade have recently undergone extensive repairs and renovations, such that the repairwork is imeadiently apparent and can be spotted due to the diffring ages of materials. One can't help but wonder what brought the need for those repairs to the town.

A look around Fensàkē Se seems to be home to a quite vibrant and boisterous community. Everywhere one looks they can see people going out their daily business with a smile and a spring in their step. Children play loudly in the streets, causing untold havoc as youth are want and allowed to do.

Civic Infrastructure

Fensàkē Se has a Parks and Recreation Department, which is responsible for the construction, management, and usage rights for all of its parks and parklands. They are not to be confused with the Office of Civil Groundskeeping as they do not hold authority over nor responsibility for Fensàkē Se's natural decorations nor waterways.

Fensàkē Se has a public schooling program overseen by the Hall of Sages who has the responsibility of ensuring access to affordable high-quality education in all basic classes (Reading, Writing, Mathmatics, General Sciences, General Arcana, and Social Education) is made available to all citizens.

Fensàkē Se has a public septic system, which allows its citizens to have indoor bathrooms. The septic system is overseen by the League of Sewerkeepers, who posses the legal authority to enforce all laws relating to the septic system, and are also tasked with its maintenance and upkeep.

Cultural Notes

Fensàkē Se's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by towering round arches, massive stone and brickwork, small windows, thick walls, and a propensity for housing art and sculpture depicting mythological scenes. The building's general shape would be a clever and ascetic combination of geometric shapes, which would be blended together by joining elements. The style's decorative features were largely internal rather than external and incorporated semicircular arches for windows, doors, and arcades; barrel or groin vaults to support the roof of the nave; massive piers and walls, with few windows, to contain the outward thrust of the vaults; side aisles with galleries above them..

In Fensàkē Se all of the cats speak the local language with prefect diction.

The Giant hissing cockroach near Fensàkē Se are known to be quite timid.

Fensàkē Se's citizens partake in a curious ritual relating to their local kami. It takes place in autumn and involves destroying a prepared ritual vessel to channel Augury energies of tier 3 via throat singing.
